Artificial general intelligence (AGI) Lab

The mission of AGI Lab of SDG Center KBTU:

• Advance AI research with a focus on decision-making, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV), and Bayesian networks,

• Software solutions for the real-world problems in education, industry, and society. 

The leader of the Lab is Alexandr Pak, PhD, Associate Professor and Head of AGI Lab, School of IT & Engineering, Kazakh-British Technical University.

Key Focus Areas of AGI Lab:

• Development of self-correcting language models and reinforcement learning frameworks.

• Creation of AI tools for education, mental health, and sustainable development.

• Designing open-source algorithms for abstractive text summarization and decision-making under uncertainty.

• Promoting AI ethics and transparency, addressing the "black box" problem in government applications.
